  • Authentication Data: When you sign in, we use Microsoft Entra External ID to securely manage your identity. This may include a unique identifier and basic profile information such as your name and email address.

How We Use Microsoft Entra External ID

Our Gift Circle uses Microsoft Entra External ID to handle user sign-in and identity management. This service allows you to log in securely using email or other supported methods. How We Use Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people interact with Our Gift Circle—what’s working and what’s confusing—so we can improve the experience for everyone. It may collect data such as pages visited, clicks, and navigation patterns, along with a randomly generated identifier stored in your browser.

Analytics never runs until you allow it. We ask once, for every visitor, wherever you are—not just in the EU, UK, and Switzerland. If you decline, or simply don’t answer, no analytics script is loaded and nothing is collected. We don’t use analytics to identify you personally, and we don’t combine it with your account, lists, or circles.

Sharing, Surprises & Sign‑In

Our Gift Circle makes sharing simple while respecting privacy. When you share lists with circles, owners can manage them while members see only what’s appropriate. To preserve surprises, details like who reserved or purchased an item stay hidden until after the occasion. Our sign‑in process uses Microsoft Entra External ID and supported login methods (email, Microsoft, Google, Apple), and we return you to your intended page without storing unnecessary data. Analytics only ever runs with your permission, for every visitor regardless of location. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time; we process these promptly and remove backups within a reasonable period.

Cookies & Consent

Our Gift Circle sets only what it needs to work: a sign-in session cookie and a security (anti-forgery) cookie. These are strictly necessary, so we don’t ask permission for them—without them the site can’t keep you signed in or submit a form safely. Your appearance and analytics choices are kept in your browser’s local storage, not in cookies, and never leave your device.

Analytics cookies are different, and we don’t set any unless you allow analytics. Declining stores nothing beyond a note of your choice, so we don’t ask again. You can change your mind at any time using the buttons above—withdrawing is exactly as easy as allowing.
