What you can do

The whole site in one page — lists, circles, surprises kept intact, and a record of what you bought.

If you're still deciding whether Our Gift Circle fits, this is the short version.

Share what you'd actually like

Make a wish list, put things on it, and share it with the people who ask you every year what you want. Each gift can carry a link, a size, a rough price range, how badly you want it, and how many you need. Nobody has to guess, and nobody has to ask.

Keep the surprise

This is the part most wish list sites get wrong. When someone claims a gift on your list, you never see it. Not the name, not a badge, not a count. The rest of your circle sees that it's covered so nobody buys it twice — but the page you look at is the same page you always saw.

It isn't a setting you have to find and switch on. Your own list simply never shows reservations to you.

Gather the right people

A circle is a group — your immediate family, your friends, the people at work who do a gift exchange. You share a list into a circle, so the people in your book club don't see the list you made for your family. Invitations go out by email, and you can see who's accepted, who hasn't yet, and who said no.

Draw names, without the hat

If your circle does a secret gift exchange, the site can draw the names. It won't pair people you've said shouldn't be paired, and everyone gets told who they drew. As the host you can choose to see the whole draw or stay in the dark with everyone else — and staying in the dark is the default.

Remember what you bought

December buys things in November and forgets them by the time the wrapping starts. The gift log is a private record of what you've bought and who it's for: what stage it's at, where you hid it, and what you spent. Next year it's still there, so you don't buy the same person the same thing twice.

Buy for children without handing them an account

You can keep a profile for a child you look after and make lists for them, without creating them a login. Other guardians can help manage it. When a list for a child gets shared, the site says plainly whose name and gifts the circle is about to see.

It's free, and it stays yours

No ads, no charge, no selling anyone's data. You can see everything the site keeps about you, and you can delete all of it from your profile page in about four clicks. See privacy and your data for exactly what's stored and why.
