Drawing names
Running a secret gift exchange, keeping pairs apart, and whether the host finds out.
If your circle does a secret exchange, the site can draw it.
Running a draw
On the circle's page, a host starts the draw. Everyone in the circle is included, and everyone is told by email who they drew.
The draw makes sure nobody draws themselves, and it respects any pairs you've excluded.
Keeping people apart
Partners who live together often shouldn't draw each other — they'd be shopping in the same house. Add an exclusion for a pair and the draw won't put them together.
If you add so many exclusions that no valid arrangement exists, the draw tells you rather than quietly producing something wrong.
Does the host see the results?
By default, no. The host runs the draw and is in it like everyone else, drawing one name and seeing no more than anyone else does.
There's a toggle to change that. Turn it on and the host also gets a summary of who drew whom — useful if you're the one fielding "did everyone get someone?" questions, and useful if somebody loses their email.
It's off unless chosen, on purpose: the rest of the site is built around hiding surprises, and a host who can see the whole draw can't be surprised by their own gift.
